GCW Aura

On paper this show does not look like a fuckery heavy affair but it'll be a nice come down since I'm hungover as shit today.

Los macizos defending the GCW tag team championship against The Mane event

No secret I Love me some macizos and don't remember how I felt about Mane Event

This match was all action. Macizos proved they can go in the ring without weapons and I wanna see more of Mane event and hopefully they get brought into more shows.

Los Macizos retain via pinfall

4/5

Matt Cardona v. Jordan Oliver

Matt Cardona is an amazing heel and after seeing his run in GCW I have no idea how WWE missed the boat with him.

Jordan Oliver is one of the best pure wrestlers GCW has so going in I expect a great match and it delivered. Cardona was doing his heel tactics the whole match and Oliver used his great skills to get the win.

Jordan Oliver wins via pinfall

3/5

Dylan McKay v. Leon Slater v. Ninja Mack v. Tony Deppen

Dylan McKay is a great young wrestler and I can't wait to see what the future holds for him.

Never seen Leon Slater before this.

Ninja mack is great and it's a good thing he's tearing it up in Japan but it's a bad thing I don't get to see him on as many shows.

Tony Deppen is one of if not the best wrestlers on the indies right now and needs to be on TV.

This match was your typical GCW scramble. Fun with alot of blink and miss it action. This Leon Slater was great.

Tony deppen wins via pinfall

He's a mad man for talking to Nick Gage the way he did in the after promo though.

3.75/5

Second Gear Crew v. Cole Radrick,  Dark sheik and Sawyer Wreck

Given everyone in this match I expect pure ignorance and even though I think blood is illegal in Rhode Island they got pretty ignorant. Barbed wire doors, regular doors chairs and all the wrestlers involved were on point.

Cole Radrick,Dark Sheik and Sawyer Wreck win via pinfall

3.75/5

After the match Raddy cut a promo and called out Nick Gage. and they had a back and forth in the ring to set up there match December 3rd .

Maki Itoh v. Masha Slamovich

These women totally went out there and tore it up. Match was a little slow to get going but once it did it got very All Japan. Would have liked for it to be longer is my only complaint but still good stuff.

2.75/5

Allie Katch v. Charles Mason

Wasn't expecting much from this match. I do like allie katch but not into Charles Mason at all and his pervert gimmick.

Match was not good. I was glad when it was over.

Charles Mason won via submission

1.25/5

Alec Price v. Nick Wayne

This match had 2 young studs go out there and tear it up. AEW was smart in signing Nick Wayne so young and once he gets going there he is gonna be a big star. And Alec Price gets better every time I see him. Both kids made the most of this match and got there stuff in.

Alec Price won via pinfall

3/5

Chris Hamrick v. Jimmy lloyd v. Marcus Mathers v. Manders v. Shane Mercer v. Dustin Waller

Well the match was awkward due to a promo Chris Hamrick cut before the match cut,I'm not resposting what he said because I don't condone dumb shit like that so if you wanna know look it up somewhere.

I get it he's old school but that's no excuse you're never too old to learn from your mistakes.

I feel bad for everyone else in the match because the crowd was angry.

Shane Mercer won via pinfall

1.25/5

Speedball Mike Bailey v. Jonathan Gresham

Great match from 2 phenomenal athletes. Mike Bailey is so fucking good and it's always a treat to see him wrestle and gresham is no slouch either. I don't think its possible for them to have a bad match with eachother.

Jonathan Gresham wins via pinfall

ICW NHB 37

 "What's up? Motherfuckers!"

Larry don't wanna wait any longer so let's kick it off with a bigity bang.

Akira v. Krule

It was supposed to be Akira v. Kasey Katal but Kasey said she's not wrestling Akira because it's not the main event so she sent out Krule and he squashed Akira. Storyline it was cool but it was a squash match.

0.5/5

Adam Priest v. Hardway Heeter

It was cool that 2 Chattanooga locals got to open things up. Adam Priest was a great heel and Hardway Heeter didn't do anything for me here. Match was fine and had a branding iron spot that was cool.

Adam Priest wins via pinfall

2/5

Colby Corino v. Jayden Newman

Match was very good. Colby is almost as good as his dad at being a heel. Heat must be in the Corino bloodline. Newman really impressed me this weekend and makes me wanna check out TWE. Sucks that the door wouldn't light on fire but you can't have everything in life.

Jayden Newman wins via pinfall

3/5

Eric Ryan v. Tommy Vendetta

This match was ignorant! Both men were dropping eachother on flower pots and Legos and honestly I don't know which hurts more. Those cuts on Eric Ryan's head looked even more disturbing to me than usual.

Eric Ryan won via knockout

2.75/5

Casanova Valentine v. Hoodfoot

Fuck what a match! Everything I love about death match wrestling was here. Blood, violence, barbed wire, candle wax yard tools to the nutsack. Everyone needs to go out of there way to watch this hoss fight

Hoodfoot wins via pinfall

5/5

The Bev v. Tank
Match was short sweet and violent. So many light tubes broken that it looked like something was on fire in that building. I wish we woulda had a longer match though.

2/5

Brandon kirk v. Krule

Wasn't much of a match Brandon just tazed Krule and cracked his head open

The continuation of the story with Kasey was worth it though.

No contest

JCW Series of Survival 11/19/22

Young Dumb and Broke (Jordan Oliver,Griffin Mccoy, Ellis Taylor and Charlie Tiger )v. The Wayniacs (Nick Wayne, Alec Price,Leon Slater and Dylan McKay)

This was a Survivor Series style match, hence the name of the show to showcase the young guns of GCW and have them get the crowd going and they all did their job. Big fan of Oliver,Wayne and Price. McKay has been impressing me as of late. Leon Slater had a great showing this weekend and not as familiar with the rest of YDNB but look forward to seeing more of them.

Jordan Oliver was the soul Survivor by last eliminating Alec Price

3.5/5

Maki Itoh v. Janai Kai

This was a fun match. Maki is full of charisma and Janai is just a beast. Not bad

Maki itoh wins via pinfall

2 25/5

Mason's Mercenaries (Charles Mason and 3 Masked guys) v. Billy's bad bitches (Billy Dixon,Bam Sullivan, Yoya and Big Vin)

Match was not interesting at all. Not a Charles Mason fan as it is and not a fan of a mystery person faction.

Charles Mason was the soul Survivor via submission

0.75/5

Bobby flaco v. Mr. Danger v. Teri Yaki
Match was way too short to get a taste of what these guys can do. Teri Yaki was good but I saw nothing of the other guys.

Teri Yaki wins via pinfall

1/5

Second Gear Crew  (Mance Warner,Matthew Justice, Manders and AJ Gray). The Good Ole Boys (Chris Hamrick,Tommy Rich,Doug Gilbert and Crowbar)

Was a fun match and I know most of the good ole boys are very limited in there age but still made it work and did some table and chair spots. Also good to see AJ Gray back and was wondering where he went.

Mance Warner and Matthew Justice were the soul survivors via pinfall
2.75/5

Los Macizos, Gringo Loco and El Shlako v. Cole Radrick, Jimmy Lloyd and Iron Beast

What a great match but given who was in it it should have been. Alot of fuckery, body's flying everywhere and complete chaos. Loved it

Los macizos were the soul survivors via pinfall

ICW Pit Fighter 13 11/18/22

The thing I like about these pit fighter shows are how different they are.

For those that don't know,ICW does this thing where they book death matches and put it in a UFC style ring and it rules.

After Danny Demanto saying "what's up motherfuckers!" And Larry not wanting to wait any longer we get our first fucking fight.

Akira v. Colby Corino

Love Akira and he knows how to start off a show.

Colby is great just like his dad and comes out to paint it black by the stones which always gets me pumped.

Match was good, took awhile for it to get going but once it did we had a spot where Akira got a tornado ddt blocked and hit his knee, hope he's ok. Corino got great heat. And the end with the death penalty through the door was insane.

Akira wins via pinfall

3.25/5

After the match Akira took off his eye patch to set up his match with kasey tomorrow.

Gary Jay v. Joe black

Gary Jay I've only seen twice and from what I saw I liked so far

Joe black I've seen but don't really remember.

I can describe this match in 2 words. Hoss fight. These dudes beat the fuck out of eachother and I loved it and hope I keep seeing more of these guys on shows.

Joe Black wins via pinfall

2.75/5

Tommy Vendetta v. Hardway Heater

Tommy vendetta is one of my favorites in ICW right now. Very charismatic and always has violent matches.

Don't know much about Hardway Heater

So this match was not good. Very sloppy, did not flow well and Hardway botched a powerbomb bad and I'm hoping his knee is OK.

Tommy Vendetta wins via pinfall

1.25/5

Eric Ryan v. Adam Priest

Eric Ryan is someone who I didn't like at first but had been growing on me and I'm starting to understand the hype

Krule was out for tonight so some Adam Priest cut a promo and took his spot.

Pretty good match some very hard chair shots. Adam Priest is a awesome heel and the branding iron spot was great. Coulda went a bit longer in my opinion.

Eric Ryan wins via referee stoppage

2.5/5

The Bev v. Brandon Kirk for the Danny Havoc hardcore championship

Really looking forward to this one

The bev is hands down my favorite 44oh guy.

Brandon kirk is amazing and his storyline with kasey and krule is my favorite death match story line going right now.

What a match! All the violence and fuckery you would expect. Bev bled like a stuck pig and working in a resturaunt and hating life due to it I can sympathize with the lemon in the cut spot. Brutality. Ended with a PSYCHODRIVERFUCKYOURLIFE!

Brandon Kirk wins and retains via pinfall

4.25/5

Hoodfoot v. Tank

Mr. Hoodfoot is the best wrestler from chicago right now. And called him Mr. Hoodfoot so I can put some damn respect on his name. And you should too.

Tank is an Igorant beast so I expect a hoss fight

Match was decent, alot of violence and alot of blood.

Was a bit slow moving at times but picked up where it needed to.

Hoodfoot won via tko

2.75/5

John Wayne Murdoch v. Jayden Newman

JWM is one of the best things going in death matcg wrestling right now and he's one of the best heels in all of wrestling.

Never seen Jayden Newman before

Great match. Jwm getting all his heel tactics in and beat up mittens, jwm you son of a bitch.

Newman looked great and I wanna see more of his stuff.

The ending off that cage through the chair and door stack was insane.

3.25/5

Reed Bentley v. Kasey Kirk for the American death match championship

Reed Bentley is a guy I like but havnt seen alot of,injury maybe?

Look bad bitch up in the dictionary and you'll find a picture of Kasey next to it. Love the way she carries herself, she's so cool.

Really good match Kasey was very fiery and very intense the whole time and Reed brought the violence and was very good at keeping the crowd into it. Very violent match and loved the finish with kasey coming off the top of the cage with a chair.

Kasey Kirk retains via pinfall

4/5

GCW Wisconsin Death Trip 11/13/22

Nick gage promo

The usual, if this doesn't get you pumped I don't know what does.

Nick wayne v. Carlos romo

Nick wayne wins via pin

Nick wayne is a great wrestler now and he's 17,I can't wait to see how good he is when he is 27 and killing it on TV somewhere

Carlos Romo I know nothing of but want to see more of him.

2.75/5

Blake Christian v. Alec price v. Jordan Oliver

Blake Christian is one of the best wrestlers on the indies right now in my opinion,no idea what the heat is in a.c. though, he was doing high flying stuff and I have no idea how he didn't hit the walls or ceiling in that tiny room.

Alec price had a good showing here but he is still growing on me.

Jordan Oliver is someone it took time for me but I finally came around on him. Love the way he was laying in his acid kick this weekend too.

Blake Christian wins via pin

3.25/5

Jimmy lloyd v sawyer wreck

Sawyer wreck had a star making performance at ngi yesterday

Jimmy lloyd is one of the best hands gcw has right now and can do anything they need him to do.

However, match did flow well to me and was a bit underwhelming

Sawyer wreck wins via pinfall

2/5

Los macizos v. Dysfunction and Eric Dillinger for the gcw tag team championship

Macizos are one of my favorite tag teams going right now and props to gcw for giving them a run with the titles.

Never seen dysfunction or Dillinger before but loved what I saw and wanna scope out more of them.

Loved this match it had barbed wire chairs violence  and i hope ciclope is OK after the flame not going out right away and him almost making that venue look like great white circa 03 in there.

Los macizos retain via pinfall

3.5/5

Hunter freeman v. Big f'n Joe

Hunter freeman has been impressing the fuck out of me lately and this weekend was no different and I can't wait to see what the future holds for him.

Big fn Joe is probably the hardest man alive. Loved him in the gcw uk events and glad I got to see him this weekend,Brett keep bringing this guy back. Dude wears tight Whiteys as tights in death matches which is a sure fire way of birth control if you ask me.

Match was insane, staple guns tube cabins no regard for anyone's safety including themselves. More klof this in wrestling please

Hunter winning was a shock but I don't hate it.

Hunter freeman wins via pin

4/5

Mance Warner v. John Wayne murdoch in a Taipei death match

Nothing against the people in this match but the Taipei death match stipulation isn't one I'm a fan of. Usually those matches are boring and this was a little better than usual and I like jwm and ole' mancer and they both worked hard and bled harder but wasn't feeling this one.

John wayne murdoch wins via submission

2.5/5

Toshiyuki sakuda v. Cole radrick

Sakuda did not impress me much on the gcw japan tour but seeing him over this weekend changed that, small but furious and this dude pierces people in matches.

Radrick is one of my favorite parts of gcw right now and since I am from Indiana he's one of my statesman. Dude is the modern sick nick mondo.

Match was great at even had raddy going fishing with sakuda in the middle of the match, for those who have never been fishing if you get a fish hook stuck in you that shit hurts.

Cole radrick wins via pinfall

3.75/5

Intro

My name is Chris and welcome to one man's opinion.

I am a wrestling fan and have been since the age of 3. Back then I was a fan of all the wwf and would religiously have my parents take me to our local video store and rent old vhs tapes and into the beginning of the attitude era my aunt would even record me the ppvs until the cable company got wise to some box they had and that was the end of that.

The reason I wanted to do this blog is because obviously I love death match wrestling. And there's no way I'm ever going to be in the industry I don't have the dedication,I get winded walkingto the mailbox,I got two left feet and a learning disability so not a good candidate for in ring.

I learned through the hardcore/punk scene that you don't always have to be in a band/book shows or anything like that to contribute so I'm trying to apply that mentality to death match wrestling.

My opinions are just that, one man's opinions on what shows I'm watching and should never be taken seriously. Just trying to have fun and see what happens.

Enjoy,Chris
