ICW NHB Vol. 81

At the beginning of the show, Danny Demanto announced that Hoodfoot, Casanova Valentine, Nathan Mowery, Reed Bentley, and John Wayne Murdoch were unable to make the show.

Akira v. Eric Ryan

Eric Ryan stepped in for Reed Bentley. These two started off chain wrestling which led to Akira and Ryan chain wrestling in terra kata. Akira carved up Eric Ryan with skewers. There was a gross spot with Akira jamming the skewers into Eric Ryan's fingernails. The momentum shifted when Eric Ryan raked terra kata across Akira's head. After a strike exchange, Eric Ryan gave Akira a tiger bomb onto the Terra kata. Akira pinned Eric Ryan for the pin. This was a perfect match. These two took their time and made everything they did mean something. My only gripe was that it got a bit slow at times.

Akira won via pinfall

3.75/5

Gabriel Skye v. Gary Jay

After some solid and stiff wrestling, Gary Jay used a chair on Gabriel Skye and a fork on Skye. Gabriel got offense on Gary Jay by powerbombing Gary Jay onto tacks. Gary Jay finished off Gabriel Skye by giving Skye a Death Valley driver onto 2 chairs that were on their side and hitting Skye with a rolling elbow. With the exception of a few spots, this was a hard-hitting wrestling match. Not bad.

Gary Jay won via pinfall

3.25/5

4825( Jayden Newman and Jameson Shook) defended the IWTV Tag Team Championship against The Pillars (Tommy Vendetta and MM3)

The Pillars started off with some high flying, which escalated into a brawl outside of the V-ring. We then had some wrestling until Tommy Vendetta used the staple gun on Jameson Shook. The match finished when 4825 gave Tommy Vendetta a streetsweeper thrift a door bridge that had Legos on it. The match was okay but it was too similar to the match I had seen previously to.

4825 retained via pinfall

2.5/5

Dr. Redacted v. Tommy Trainwreck

Redacted immediately dropkicked Tommy Trainwreck through a barbed wire board. These two brawled outside of the ring, where Redacted did a flip off the bar onto Tommy Trainwreck, who was sitting on a chair. Tommy Trainwreck gave Dr. Redacted a Death Valley driver through an Ironing board. These two exchanged Thumbtack Bat shots and suplexes. Dr. Redacted got thrown into a board of forks. Dr. Redacted put a fishhook through Tommy Trainwreck's cheek. Dr. Redacted did a frog splash off the top chain onto a door stack that was lying on Tommy Trainwreck, but unfortunately, the door didn't break. I love that Redacted won a very chaotic match but the end kinda sucked with the door not breaking.

Dr. Redacted won via pinfall

3/5

Danny Demanto v. Ludark Shaitan

After some lucha libre Ludark Shaitan took Danny Demanto outside of the ring and jammed a gusset plate on his back. Danny got back on offense by jamming a Gusset into Ludark's head and taking a strand of skin with it. To make matters worse Danny Demanto poked Ludark in the eye with skewers. Ludark Shaitan got back on offense by doing a senton to Danny while Danny was sitting on a chair. Danny then hit the Demanto driver on Ludark. Ludark gave Danny a superplex through a door. Danny Demanto gave Ludark a shit with the popper bat. After some shenanigans with the referee, Ludark Shaitan hit a spear through a pane of glass to get the win. This was a perfect match, and I like the pacing on this and how they took their time building the match.

Danny Demanto won via pinfall

3.25/5

Dimitri Alexandrov v. Dale Patricks

Other than some face stabbing spots and Dale Patricks doing a powerbomb to Dimitri Alexandrov onto a knife board this was just more or less a wrestling match. This was too slow for me, and I never fully got into it. It wasn't bad, I just wanted more from it.

Dale Patricks won via pinfall

2.25/5

Krule v. Bear Bronson

Krule no sold Gusset plates going into his chest. Krule then cracked Bear Bronson with a water jug on a stick. Once they got back in the ring Krule threw Bear Bronson through a pane of glass. Krule got Bear Bronson with the gusset plate. Bear Bronson has Krule a spinebuster through a door. After not selling, getting hit in the head with a door, Bear Bronson did a black hole slam to Krule. Krule got up instantly after a chokeslam and hit the atrocity to Bear Bronson, who went face-first onto a chair. Krule poured gasoline on Bear Bronson and himself. Bear Bronson's wife came out to stop Krule, and Bear Bronson got the win. This is exactly what it should have been. An ignorant hoss fight. Bear Bronson is catching on quick, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for him after a banger like that.

Bear Bronson won via pinfall

4.25/5

For there being a lot of wrenches thrown into this show this was a damn good show. Every match was good to solid, and ICW keeps its momentum rolling. My favorite on this was The Krule/Bronson match.

7/10
