ICW NHB did another joint show with DMDU. I wish I had more time to check out more DMDU, but a lot is going on here.
The Pulse defended the DMDU Tag Team Championship against The House of Frost
The Pulse got going with light tube shots on The House of Frost. The House of Frost retaliated with light tube shots. I'll be honest here, this one is hard for me because I'm unfamiliar, and there's no commentary, which doesn't help with either team in the match. The match was a good hoss fight, but I just wanna know who was who.
The House of Frost won the DMDU Tag Team Championship via pinfall
2.25/5
Gore v. Terry Shaw
Gore started off cutting a hilarious promo. Gore attacked Terry Shaw with tubes. Gore jammed a gusset into Terry Shaw's arm. Terry Shaw got the quick roll-up win. This was more or less a glorified squash match to showcase Gore and it was eh.
Terry Shaw won via pinfall
2/5
Mad Man Pondo v. Vixsin
Mad Man Pondo decided to start the match outside of the ring, and from there, Miss Fortune got involved on Vixsin's behalf. Vixsin attacked Pondo with scissors. Pondo made a comeback by using the saw blade through some tubes on the back of Vixsin. Vixsin made a comeback by using Tubes and smashing cinderblocks on Pondo. Mad Man Pondo through Vixsin into some cacti. Pondo got Vixsin with the staple gun. Vixsin went for a splash with Pondo on a barbed wire door, but the door didn't break, so Vixsin ended the match with a splash onto tubes. This match was okay, but it was a little slow for me, and the barbed wire door not cooperating ruined the ending.
Vixsin won via pinfall
2.5/5
Xavier Black v. Kody Manhorn
After battling with Thumbtack-covered cricket bats, Kody Manhorn got Xavier Black with a gusset plate in his head. During Xavier Black's comeback, Black got Manhorn with a gusset, took him around the ring with the tack-covered cricket bat, and Sidewalk slammed Manhorn through a chair. Kody Manhorn made a comeback by putting Xavier Black through a door. After some wrestling and A Cutter onto a pile of seashells, Kody Manhorn hit a headbutt for the win. This was a pretty solid match and had some creative weapons with the tack bats and the seashells.
Kody Manhorn won via pinfall
3.25/5
Danny Demanto v. Michael Weaver
Danny jumped the gun with a tube shot on Michael Weaver. Michael Weaver retaliated with a gusset plate to Danny Demanto's head. These two had a staple gun exchange. Michael Weaver used a barbed wire cricket bat on Danny. Danny Demanto got back on offense by using skewers on Michael Weaver including jamming skewers into Weaver's eye. Danny Demanto gave Michael Weaver a cutter from the apron through a cabinet of tubes. Michael Weaver gave Danny Demanto a double knee through a tube bundle. Danny Demanto put Michael Weaver through a soda can door. Danny Demanto finished this off with a splash through a tube bundle. This was a fantastic match, and say what you will about Danny Demanto, but you can't deny that he is one of the best at getting talents over, and this match proves it.
Danny Demanto won via pinfall
4.75/5
Valido v. Jordan Samson
The first thing that happened was that Valido got thrown out of the ring onto a pane of glass that didn't break. Then Jordan Samson came out of the ring to Slam Valido through the pane of glass, and it still didn't break. Jordan Samson regrouped and gave Valido an Alabama slam onto shards of glass and then gave Valido a running boot through a pane of glass. Samson, being the sadist he is, cut open Valido's mask and put a gusset in Valido's head. Valido got offense by using a cricket bat with tacks on Samson. Samson was back on the attack with some vicious chair shots to Valido. Samson gave Valido an Avalanche driver through a Glass bridge but Valido kicked out at 1 and attacked Samson with tubes. Jordan Samson finished the match by throwing a tube bundle and then hitting Valido with a half-and-hand suplex. For this, having a rough start, this turned out to be a great match.
Jordan Samson won via pinfall
3.25/5
Dale Patricks v. Joel Bateman
These two began with a tube exchange then Dale Patricks put Joel Bateman through a pane of glass. After some strong style and good tube spots. Dale Patricks ended the match by lighting a board and tube bundle on fire and chokeslamming Joel Bateman on it. To be honest, I was let down. This should have been a great match but it was very short for some reason. It was like Chinese food. Good but left me hungry.
Dale Patricks won via pinfall
2.25/5
After the match, Joel Bateman was told he would be wrestling Jun Kasa, which is a dream match for Bateman. Great dude and he fucking deserves it.
Vic Craig defended the DMDU Championship against JT Hollow
This started with a tube exchange. After JT Hollow stabbed Vic Craig in the face with an object and some wrestling, these two took it outside, and Vic Craig used a cricket bat with tacks on JT Hollow. Vic Craig cracked a beer bottle over JT Hollow's head and stabbed Hollow with it. JT Hollow got back on offense by stomping Vic Craig's head into a pit of tacks. Vic Craig raked a barbed wire cricket bat across JT Hollow's forehead. After some cool tube spots, these two had an insane finish. Vic Craig gave JT Hollow a Spanish fly off the top chain through a tube bundle/glass bridge below. Great match and these are 2 wrestlers to keep your eye on.
Vic Craig retained via pinfall
3.75/5
Overall
There wasn't anything bad on this show, but it was a mixed bag. Manhorn/Black, Demanto/Weaver, and Craig/Hollow were bangers, but the rest of the card was forgettable. Part of the issue, to be honest and to be fair to the review, is that I don't watch enough DM, DU. I'm not super familiar with a lot of people here, which I need to get better with.
