CZW: 5th Anniversary

DJ Hyde v. Scotty Matthews v. Bounty Hunter v. John Dahmer

This was an okay elimination-style match. Bounty Hunter was impressive, I wonder what happened to him?

Scotty Matthews wins via pinfall
1.25/5

Dirty Rotten Skoundrelz v. CKNY v. All Money Is Legal

This was a good match. It was a high-flying match designed to showcase all three tag teams and it worked.

Dirty Rotten Skoundrelz won via pinfall
1.5/5

Mercedes Martinez v. Sumie Sakai

This was an okay match. But this was Shimmer so this shows you where women's wrestling was at in this era.

Mercedes Martinez wins via pinfall
1/5

Rockin Rebel and Greg Matthews v. Z-Barr and Nick Berk

This wasn't a match it was just Rebel hitting people with chairs

No Contest
N/A

Jimmy Rave defends the Iron Man Championship against Joey Ryan and Jimmy Jacobs

This was a really good match.  They changed the rules of the Iron Man Championship to Iron Man Match rules, which is better than the lame-ass Pure Title ROH was doing at the time. Jimmy Rave was so good as well as Jimmy Jacobs.

Jimmy Rave retains
3.5/5

Sonjay Dutt defends the Junior Heavyweight Championship against Grim Reefer

This was an okay match. Sonjay is great and it's interesting to see Reefer this young.

Sonjay Dutt retains via pinfall
2/5

Blk Out v. Chris Ca$h and Joker

This was a very WCW-style match.  Joker joined BLK OUT mid-match so there was no finish.

No Contest
0.75/5

Excalibur v. B-Boy

This match was pretty good. Did not know Excalibur wrestled and B-Boy is amazing.

B-Boy wins via pinfall
2.25/5

Dan Maff and Homicide v. H8 Club

This was a nice hard-hitting tag match and fit in well with the indie scene of that era.

H8 Club wins via pinfall
2/5

Necro Butcher v. Mad Man Pondo v. New Jack

This was a good match.  That fan shot Pondo gave Necro was gnarly and the surprise of New Jack was nice.

Mad Man Pondo wins via pinfall
2.5/5

Rise Underground: Games of Death 2024

Danny Demanto v. Clint Margera

This was a great way to open Games of Death. Early on Clint took a skinny tube shot that gave him a nasty cut and I hope he's okay. Other than that this was a stiff-ass match and these two kicked the door down to open the show.

Clint Margera wins via pinfall
3.25/5

Atticus Cogar v. Danny Darko

This was a good match. That spot where Atticus put skewers in Danny Darkos's mouth was disgusting.

Atticus Cogar advances via pinfall
2.25/5

Krule v. Jack Harrop

This was a fucking Godzilla movie.

Krule wins via submission
3/5

Big Fn' Joe v. Micheal Caden

This was great. Micheal Caden impressed me here and I get what the hype is about with him. These two threw each other on tubes and soda cans and bled everywhere.

Big Fn' Joe advances via pinfall
4/5

Iceman v. Abdullah Kobayashi

What can I say about this other than UK Legend v. Japanese Legend and it delivered.

Iceman wins via pinfall
2.75/5

Emersyn Jayne v. Tommy Vendetta

I liked this. Other than a few tubes and doors this was a straight wrestling match, which I'm okay with because both can go.

Emersyn Jayne wins via pinfall
2.75/5

Lou Nixon defends the Rise European Death Match Championship against BA Rose

This was a great match. Lou Nixon can swing a tube so hard, he's up there with the Bev. And we had some crazy weapons in this like a bed of nails and a carving saw.

Lou Nixon retains via submission
3.25/5

Big Fn Joe v. Atticus Cogar v. Krule in the finals of Games of Death

This was a great way to end the tournament. Krule going through the tube structure and selling was great and so was Atticus going nuts with the skewers. The right man won here.

Big Fn Joe wins via pinfall
3/5

GCW:Touch The Sky 2024

Kari Wright, Max Heights and Jordan Cruz v. Effy, Sawyer Wreck and Manders

This was an okay 6 person tag not much to say about it.

Effy, Sawyer Wreck, and Manders win via pinfall
1.5/5

Los Desperados v. Micro Man, Aramis, and Oni El Bendito

This was a great match and is what you would out of a lucha trios match in GCW.

Los Desperados win via pinfall
3.5/5

Billie Starkz v. Broski Jimmy Lloyd

This was an okay match. It was a little clunky in spots but came together towards the end.

Billie Starkz wins via pinfall
1.5/5

Bollywood Boys v. Gahbage Daddies

This was entertaining but Gahbage Daddies deserves a better match.

Bollywood Boys win via pinfall
1.5/5

This was a good match. It was an ECW-type brawl and the Fatu's are so fucking good.

Jacob and Zilla Fatu win via pinfall

Sam Stackhouse v. Joey Janela
This was decent. Given Sam Stackhouse's size he can move well.

Joey Janela wins via pinfall
2.25/5

Violence is Forever defends the GCW Tag Team Championship against Monster Sauce

This was a good tag match and it was good to see Lance Archer in a GCW ring.

Violence is Forever retained via pinfall
2.75/5

Pagano v. John Wayne Murdoch

Good match and I loved the use of a staple gun.

John Wayne Murdoch wins via pinfall
2.25/5

Blake Christian defends the GCW Champion against Fuego Del Sol

This was a very good match. I did not notice how good Fuego Del Sol is until now. I also like the nod Blake gave to El Generico by doing the Brainbuster on the turnbuckle.

Blake Christian retains via pinfall
3.75/5

Allie Katch v. Mance Warner in a Texas Bullrope Match

It sucked there was a nonfinish but this was a violent match, and the involvement of Allie Katch's mom is great and brings a new layer to this story.

No Contest
2.75/5

Circle 6:Barroom Blitz 2/16/24

So this will be different show to review. This was my first time seeing a no ring live. I feel its hard review it since a lot of it i couldnt see but i will do my best. I was wondering going in how the Hardcore crowd and the Wrestling crowd would mix and they both mixed well and thats a beautiful thing to have 2 things i love come together like that.

.AJ Gray v. Orin Veidt v. Hardway Heeter

This was a good way to open the show. AJ doing a moonsault off of the bar was a spectical.  And seeing Hardway Heeter wrestle live made me more of a fan.

AJ Gray wins via pinfall
2.5/5

Payasa was the first band that played and they played the best I've seen them play so far.
Bobby Beverly v. Dale Patricks

This was a very bloody and physical match. I saw a gusset plate get hammered into Dale Patricks head with a chair so that was cool.

Bobby Beverly wins via pinfall
3.5/5

Si Dios Quiere was the next band and there a great band doing great things, Little Village Hardcore at its finest.

Remington Rhor v. Matthew Justice

This was a fun match. I got to see a barbed wire chair and Matthew Justice Do a splash off the fans shoulders onto Remington for the pin.

Matthew Justice wins via pinfall
2.75/5

Otis Cagar v. Cassanova Valentine

This match was very violent. We got CTE shots with garbage cans, a lot of blood and a back drop through a barbed wire board. Great way to end the wrestling portion of the show.

Otis Cogar wins via pinfall
3.25/5

Kharma closed out the show and im proud of them being from Chicago. Seeing them from where they started to where they are now is great and well deserved. The new LP is gonna be a banger. "A World Of Our Own" coming soon on Flatspot Records.

Gore defends the DMDU Championship against York

This was a short match. The brawling was cool but I wanted more of it.

Gore retains via pinfall
1.25/5

Black Roach Reserve defends the DMDU Tag Team Championship against Cool Guy Squad

This was a good match. Cool Guy Squad impressed me here, Kid Valiant in particular, it looks like he is finding something so let's see where that goes. Cool Guy Squad was a great heel act here.

Cool Guy Squad win the DMDU Tag Team Championship via pinfall
2/5

Jason Krash v. LDeezy

This was a squash match and Jason Krash was great. But LDeezy showed me something as well.

Jason Krash wins via pinfall
1.5

Team AOW v.  Blood Fighter

This was a great match. We had razor boards, barbed wire, cinder blocks, tubes, fucking blood. We had it all. The one guy from AOW was gushing blood and the way that barbed wire stuck in Jordan Samson's back was gross.

Blood Fighter wins via pinfall
4.75/5

Jay Hunter v. Robbie Parker

This was alright. Hell dominated the babyface and the babyface won.

Robbie Parker wins via pinfall
1/5

Reece Alexios v. Mike Kaos

This was a pretty straight wrestling match with nothing special about it.

Reece Alexios wins via pinfall
1/5

Will Walker defend the MXW Championship against Jake Wilder

Will Walker retain via pinfall
2.5/5

KTB v. Spyder Nate Webb

I enjoyed this match. I didn't know Nate Webb could fly around like that.

KTB wins via pinfall

This was a good match. Eli Everfly said he was a high flyer and boy did he fly. Shane Mercer threw him around like a football.

Shane Mercer wins via pinfall
3/5

Tony Deppen v. Chris Dickinson

This was a good wrestling match with some good strikes.

Chris Dickinson wins via pinfall
2.25/5

Jimmy Lloyd v. Eric Ryan v. Marcus Crane

This was so good. Im mad I'll never get to see Marcus Crane wrestle a Death Match because he could take some nasty bumps and he could work too, that cutter he gave Eric Ryan was amazing. This match had a lot of glass and a lot of blood, so much so Eric Ryan had to run to the back.

Jimmy Lloyd wins via pinfall
3/5

Teddy Hart v. Jungle Boy v. AJ Gray v. Facade v. Grim Reefer v. Orange Cassidy

This was a GCW Scramble.

Teddy Hart wins via pinfall
2/5

Matt Tremont v. G-Raver

This was a good match.  I have a hard time saying anything good about G-Raver but Tremont bled buckets and took the tattoo needles like the pro that he is.

G-Raver wins via pinfall
3/5

Nick Gage defends the GCW Championship against Shlak

This was great. Both men were at their peak here and this was a fucking war.

Nick Gage retains via pinfall
3.5/5

Alex Colon v. Jun Kasai
I have been hearing about this match since I started watching GCW and why the fuck did it take me so long to watch it? Alex Colon looked like he had been in a car wreck. I mean the bump Colon took through the glass pane at full speed was so crazy. Jun Kasai, what can I say? Legend, fucking Legend.

Jun Kasai wins via pinfall
5/5

Big Japan: Yami-Nabi Black Night 2024

Daisuke Sekimoto wins via submission
1.75/5

Astronauts and Yuki Morihiro v. Kazuki Hashimoto, Kota Sekifuda, and Satsuki Nagao

This was a pretty average 6 person tag match. The Astronauts are spectacular though.

Takumi Tsukamoto wins via pinfall
2.25/5

Daiju Wakamatsu and Yuki Ishikawa v. Abdullah Kobayashi and Masaya Takahashi in a Barbed Wire Board Death Match

This was awesome. I was mesmerized by how violent a match can be with literally what it says in the title of the match, BJW ring psychology is on point and something we in the States can learn from. And Goddamn I love Wakamatsu and Kobayashi.

Daiju Wakamatsu and Yuki Ishikawa win via pinfall
3.25/5

Hideyoshi Kamaya v. Ryuji Ito in a Moonlight Darkness Death Match

This was stupidity and I mean that in a good way. A Moon Light Death Match is when you set up fluorescent tubes in each corner, turn off the lights, and turn on the tubes. It was very hard to see anything yet I was mesmerized by it.

Hideyoshi Kamaya wins via pinfall
3.5/5

It was a nice treat to see Homicide, the match was okay.

Joey Janela v. Kerry Morton

This was an okay match. Not much to it.

Joey Janela advances via pinfall

Big Japan:Death Market 777 2024

Hideyoshi Kamiya, Daichi Hashimoto and Kazuki Hashimoto v. Ender Kara, Takashi Daimonji and Sieg Andino

2.75/5

Kota Sekifuda and the Hidaka Ignorant Bad Reputation Trivality Apathy Mask Quit No. 1 v. Tsutomu Osugi and The Intelligence Sensational Grand Passion Mask No. 4

This is one of the times I'll be mad I'm ignorant of this product so far, the action was ok but I wasn't sure what was happening. Hopefully, over time, this will get fixed on my end.

Tsutomu Osugi and Intelligence Mask Guy I'm not even gonna try

Win via submission

This was a good tag match. And Jesus Christ can Ryoji Choi kick hard?

Ryoji Choi and Dylan James win via pinfall
2.5/5

Yuki Ishikawa and Ryuji Ito v. Takumi Tsukamoto and Abdullah Kobayashi Fluorescent Light Tube Match

Now I know the hype on Big Japan Death Matches. I liked how when they used tubes it meant something and didn't get repetitive.  The States need to learn.

3/5

Masha Slamovich wins via pinfall
2.75/5

Fuego Del Sol and Sam Stackhouse v. Chris Bey and Man Like Dereiss

My Apologies to Dereiss for being stupid and always misspelling his name, with that being said this was a good match. We saw some cool and athletic spots and Man Like Dereiss slamming Sam Stackhouse was incredible.

Chris Bey and Man Like Dereiss win via pinfall
2.5/5

Bodhi Young Prodigy v. Mance Warner

This was a squash match.

No Contest
0.5/5

This was a good match. Both ladies are good wrestlers and will make great additions to the GCW Women's Division.

Richard Holliday v. Hammerstone

This match ended up being good but the issue I had was the pacing. It reminded me of a WWE match so it was hard to get into until the end where it picked up and the story took over.

GCW:Coldest Winter 2

Matt Cardona v. Nick Nemeth

This was a great match. I didn't know how Nic Nemeth would do the indies but it looks like he will be fine. I forgot how good he was since I fell off on WWE a while ago. But Nemeth can sell and can go. Plus Cardona rules as a heel.

No Contest
2.5/5

Cole Radrick, Bobby Flacco and Mr. Danger v. Sandra Moone and Los Macizos

Big Japan:Strong Point 2024

Yuki Ishikawa and Daiki Wakamatsu v. Konkuro Hoshino and Masaya Takahashi

Yuki Ishikawa and Daiki Wakamatsu win via pinfall
2/5

Hideyoshi Kamaya and Daichi Hoshimoto v. Abdullah Kobayashi and Ryuji Ito

2.5/5

Kazuki Hashimoto and Soki Nagao v. Takuya Nomura and Fuminori Abe

Takuya Nomura and Fuminori Abe win via pinfall

Josh Prohibition wins via submission
1.5/5

Backseat Boyz v. Sick Nick Mondo and M-Dogg 20

This was a great match but it had to end in a non finish. Mondo can go in the ring as well as do death matches and Backseats should have been way more recognized as a pioneer tag team than they are.

No Contest
2/5

Chris Ca$h v. Sonjay Dutt v. Ruckus in a Ladder Match

This was a great match. All three men did crazy athletic stuff. The spot where Ruckus got pushed off the staff through the pile of fuckery beneath was insane. The Ca$h flow off the ladder through the table on Sonjay Dutt was crazier. Chris Ca$h took a scary bump when he tried to go through a table, landed on his head and the table didn't break. Wild stuff.

Ruckus wins via pinfall
3/5

Messiah and Justice Pain v. H8 Club

This was another good match that ended in a non-finish. Im mad I have never and will never get to see Justice Pain wrestle live and Messiah did some cool stuff in the ring wise too but, damn a non-finish.

No Contest
2/5

Wifebeater v. Zandig in a No Canvas Fans Bring The Weapons, I Quit Match

This match was amazing.  Both men's backs were torn to shreds. This was just hard-hitting with one spot crazier than the next and the ending with the Weedwacker being used on Zandig was a great way to end.

Wifebeater wins
4.75/5

GCW: Dream On 2025

Lucky 13 came out and insulted the crowd, then Hacksaw Jim Duggan came out and insulted Lucky 13. Ray Jaz came out and attacked Lucky 13. ...
