H2O v. UK 2024

Lou Nixon defended the Rise Underground European Death Match Championship against Austin Luke in a No Rope Doorway to Hell Match

This was evenly matched where I expected a lot of good strikes mixed with some Death Match. Lou Nixon slammed Austin Luke through a couple of doors and they barely broke, that's been a theme of the weekend and I don't know what those doors are made out of but I need one. As far as the match it was pretty much what I expected except more MMA than Death Match. I enjoyed it.

Lou Nixon retained via submission

2.75/5

Cecilio Vega defended the Hybrid Championship in a Scramble against Shaun Smith, Duncan Aleem, Leroy Robinson, Brian Neil, Kody Manhorn and President Hawkins

We had a surprise scramble. It was indeed a scramble

Cecilio Vega retained via pinfall

2/5

Iceman and BA Rose v. The Extricated in an Anything Goes Match

Bam Sullivan and Mouse formed a Tag Team known as the Extricated. This was just a good old-fashioned Pier 6 brawl. Also, I like the Extricated's finish. It's tough to describe but it's a kick into a DDT combo. I had fun watching this match.

The Extricated won via pinfall

3/5

JB Anderson v. Anthraxx v. Kennedi Hardcastle v. Broski Jimmy

This was a Death Match and we had gussets and Barbed Wire Boards used. It was entertaining seeing JB Anderson using a skeleton decoration to attack his opponent named Kyle. After a while, Broski Jimmy came out and inserted himself in the match and made it a 4 way. Kennedi Hardcastle took a nice-looking package piledriver onto chairs. This was a good match and Anderson, Anthraxx and Hardcastle showed out in this one plus the cameo from Jimmy Lloyd was cool too.

JB Anderson won via pinfall

3.25/5

Jack Harrop v. Matt Tremont in a Taipei Death Match

This was an International Dream match and if you read this blog you know this isn't my favorite stipulation. This was a typical Taipei Death match but I didn't hate it. My one complaint about this match was it was too short.

Jack Harrop won via pinfall

2.5/5

Neil Diamond Cutter defended the Danny Havoc Hardcore Championship in a Cinderblock and Carpet Strip Match against Jimmy Chondo Lyon, Alex Stretch and Tank

They started the match by throwing Carpet strips at Neil Diamond Cutter and then throwing Neil into Carpet strips. Neil Diamond Cutter got Alex Stretch back though by breaking a Cinderblock over his back. This match did have a lot of Carpet strip spots as well. This match was great and NDC's reign is nothing short of amazing.

Neil Diamond Cutter retained via pinfall

3.5/5

Big Fn Joe v. Low Life Louie Ramos

We had Big Joe bust out a skinny tube and dominate Louie in the first part of the match but Louie came back with a skinny tube shot and a railroad spike. And Louie was put through a board of Four Loko cans and left a bloody mess. This was an amazing match, it was short but violent and not too short.

Big Fn Joe won via pinfall

3.75/5

Deklan Grant defended the H2O Championship against Jayden Newman

This looked like it would be a straight wrestling match from two people who could go. This was just a technical wrestling match it was fine. Jayden Newman winning was unexpected though.

Jayden Newman won the H2O Championship via pinfall

2.5/5

This is one of the better H2O shows I've seen. Both Rise and H2O have great talent and both promotions sent out the weekend strong.

Overall

7.5/10
