DMDU: D.R.E.A.M 2024

Shout out to Joel Bateman, and I wish I could watch more of DMDU. Shout out to Spooky Dust Podcast for doing commentary.

Vixen defended the DMDU Death Match Championship against Matt Tremont in a First-Round Match

We had our first First-Round Match, and during the Tournament, the DMDU Death Match Championship will be defended.  Vixsin shoved Tremont in the corner and a trap door with forks fell on Tremont. We had both people getting stabbed with a fork and skinny tubes used. Vixsin put a Kenzan into Tremont's head. Cactuses were used. This was how you start a tournament. Great shit.

Matt Tremont won the DMDU Death Match Championship and advanced via pinfall
3.5/5

Michael Weaver v. Valido v. Vic Craig in a First-Round Match

We had a 3 way for our next First-Round Match.  It started with Vic Craig getting hit with a chair shot and a tube bundle. Valido did a 619 with tubes. There were a lot of tubes used here, but not in a repetitive way; it was in a cool way. This was another solid match.

Michael Weaver advanced via pinfall
3/5

Terry Shaw v. Joel Bateman in a First-Round Fans Bring The Weapons Match

Joel Bateman used a sawblade on Terry Shaw. Joel also busted out sickles. Terry Shaw used a Weedwacker where the plastic Strung was taken out and replaced by a strand of Barbed Wire.  Bateman gave Shaw a Russian Leg Sweep onto Cinderblocks.  2 big Goons came out and beat both men down.  Terry Shaw got the win but the end with the interference fell flat for me.

Terry Shaw advanced via pinfall
3/5

Xavier Black v. Mad Dog in q First-Round Match

This was the final match of the first round.
Mad Dog got chokeslammed into a pit of tacks. Mad Dog powerbombed Xavier Black into the pit of tacks. Xavier Black got backdropped onto a barbed wire contraption with a bed of nails under it. This was a cool yet simple match that was a good example of no glass used in a Death Match.

Mad Dog advanced via pinfall
2.75/5

Michael Weaver v. Matt Tremont in a Semi-Final Match

This was a Fantastic Four Death Match and it was for the DMDU Death Match Championship. There was a fan with barbed wire used. Tremont got carved up with a jagged edge of a soda can. These two had dueling bats with tubes on them. Michael Weaver went through a table of fans and Tremont hit the elbow off the apron for the finish. This was a good match, but the only thing that took away from it was a few of the objects not breaking, ie, a pane of glass and a tube bundle.

Matt Tremont advanced and retained via pinfall
2.5/5

Terry Shaw v. Mad Dog in a Semi-Final Match

This was a guiding light Death Match. That meant that they had light tubes in this match that' were plugged in. Terry Shaw took a Death Valley driver through the plugged-in tubes first. Mad Dog took a bump on a razor board cross. This was an insane battle and Terry Shaw is the unknown that impressed me here. This dude can take bumps like no one's business and i need him to come to th3 states.

Mad Dog advanced via submission
3/5

Matt Tremont defended the DMDU Death Match Championship against Mad Dog in the D.R.E.A.M Finals

This was for all the marbles. There were many tubes used. Tremont got sent face-first through a glass pane. Tremont sent Mad Dog outside through a stack of glass panes onto a table. Then These two did the same spot on top of a Shark Cage in the ring for the finish.  This was an insane way to end the Tournament.

Matt Tremont won D.R.E.A.M and retained via pinfall
3.75/5

Overall

This was an extremely good Tournament and showed that Austrailian Death Match Wrestling is alive and well.

8/10
