GCW v. Juggalo Championship Wrestling: Showcase Showdown 2025

Before the show, we got promo packages from Mad Man Pondo and Matt Tremont, having both owners pump them up for the show.

Effy and Joey Janela v. Vndl 48 (Otis Cogar and Christian Napier)

This match stemmed from Joey Janela costing VNDL 48's leader, Atticus Cogar, the GCW Championship at the last show. This was a very slow tag match with not much happening that could have been better considering who was involved.

Effy and Joey Janela won via pinfall

2/5

After the match, Joey Janela cut a promo on the Juggalos

Alice Crowley defended the JCW Women's Championship against Hollywood Haley J, Christina Marie, and Rachel Armstrong

This was a JCW 4 way match to showcase their women's division. This was a nice, fast-paced car crash of a 4-way. For what this was, it was good, and all the women showed up.

Alice Crowley was retained via pinfall

2.5/5

Man Like Deriess v. Atticus Cogar

I enjoyed the story of this match. That was Man Like Deriess found a way to dodge Atticus Cogar's skewers. The end was Atticus finally catching Man Like Deriess with a slingshot and skewering Deriess with the skewers. Great storytelling and good wrestling made this very good.

Atticus Cogar won via pinfall

3/5

Kaleb Konley v. Cocaine

Cocaine has a great gimmick of Kane being on cocaine. However, the match itself was forgettable and felt very throwaway.

Kaleb Konley won via pinfall

2.5/5

YDNP defended the GCW Tag Team Championship against BME

Alec Price and Jordan Oliver were great, but the team of BME didn't get much of it. It was an alright match, but I wanted to learn more about BME and see what they brought.

YDNP retained via pinfall

2.25/5

The Outbreak v. Brothers of Funstruction

This was a JCW tag match. This was a gimmick-heavy match, and while both gimmicks worked, there was nothing too memorable about this match. It was there.

Brothers of Funstruction won via pinfall

2/5

Bam Sullivan v. Dr. Redacted

We finally had a death match on the show. This had a lot of gussets and a lot of blood. Both men wrestled a lot, too, which is always cool to see people mix it up. I enjoyed this.

Dr. Redacted won via pinfall

2.75/5

J.P. Grayson, Anthony Greene, and Colby Corino v. 2 Tuff Tony, Mickie Knuckles, and Willie Mack

To start the match Willie Mack was attacked by Matt Cross. During the match, Shane Mercer attacked 2 Tuff Tony and Mickie Knuckles. This match was okay. It was definitely a way to set up stories in the future for JCW, but since I don't really keep up with JCW, I'm not really sure where they're going with all of this.

2 Tuff Tony, Mickie Knuckles, and Willie Mack won via pinfall

2.5/5

Matt Tremont and Mad Man Pondo wrestled with both the GCW Ultraviolent Championship and the JCW Championship on the line

After some tube shots and Pondo using a knife on Tremont, Bam Sullivan came out and attacked Mad Man Pondo. Kongo Kong came out and attacked Matt Tremont. Dr. Redacted was next to come out and interfere on behalf of Matt Tremont. Mickie Knuckles made the save for Mad Man Pondo. Joey Janela and Effy came out and helped Tremont put Pondo through a tube cabin, and the final nail in the coffin was Brett Lauderdale coming out, counting the three. This was an entertaining match. Even with all the overbooking, this was still entertaining.

Matt Tremont won the JCW Championship and retained the GCW Ultraviolent Championship via pinfall

3/5

Overall

While this show didn't really have anything bad on it, this did feel like a very throwaway show. This was just used to hype up the gathering of the Juggalos shows coming up and was nothing to write home about.

6/10
